Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ramona). Everything went their way against the Rubidoux Falcons on Thursday as they made off with a 23-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Evan Montoya looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ramona let Kody Shinar and Michael Shanahan run wild. Shinar went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Shanahan went 4-for-3 with four runs and two RBI. Shinar has become a key player for Ramona: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 10-11-1 otherwise. Andrew Rahner was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

Ramona always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Ramona back to even at 12-12-1. As for Rubidoux, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
