Pope got themselves on the board against Sequoyah on Thursday, but Sequoyah never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Chiefs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Pope's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Sequoyah, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Pope will challenge Lambert at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Longhorns' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sequoyah, they will take on Hillgrove at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
