Lakeside won the last time they faced Druid Hills and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings walked away with an 18-13 victory over the Red Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Sydney Conrad was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. Porter Bemiss was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lakeside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Druid Hills, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Lakeside will square off against Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Druid Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
