The Pottstown Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 34-20 to Upper Merion Area. Pottstown has struggled against Upper Merion Area recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Upper Merion Area found their leader in underclassman Kennedy Coles, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Smith, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Pottstown bumped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Upper Merion Area, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Pottstown will be home for the holidays to greet Pottsgrove at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Upper Merion Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Upper Perkiomen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
