Midlothian Heritage has gone a perfect 7-0 against Crandall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Jaguars will take on the Pirates at 7:00 p.m.
Midlothian Heritage is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Terrell just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 7-0 in the first quarter.

Despite their defeat, Midlothian Heritage saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dax Montelongo, who threw for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 95 yards on only seven carries, was perhaps the best of all. Montelongo's passing game has become a key predictor of the Jaguars' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Za'Ko Davis was another key player, gaining 122 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Crandall strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 victory over Kaufman. The Pirates pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.
Midlothian Heritage better focus on containing Darrik Ward Jr. and Luke Vanlandingham as the pair were huge in Crandall's win. Ward Jr. gained 258 total yards and four touchdowns, while Vanlandingham rushed for 116 yards and one score. Ward Jr. is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 107 every time he's taken the field this season.
Crandall was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 346 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Crandall's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Midlothian Heritage, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Midlothian Heritage against Crandall in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-3 victory. In that game, the Jaguars amassed a halftime lead of 49-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
