It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Liberty Bison can now relate to. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Matadores on Saturday.
Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Enguillado, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Kelli Harris-Wellman, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and four steals.
Liberty has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for La Mirada, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-5.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for La Mirada, they will face off against Santa Ana at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Ana has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
