Baseball Recap: Gunn's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Gunn came into Wednesday's match having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Milpitas Trojans by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

Cam Owen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Tripp Higgins was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Cyrus Silva Rezvani was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Gunn's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Milpitas, they dropped their record down to 2-20 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home.

Gunn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
