The Jamestown Muskies lost against Kennedy Catholic back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Jamestown was beaten by the 83-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jamestown has scored all season.
Kennedy Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Magestro, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Magestro has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Jamestown dropped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.0 points per game. As for Kennedy Catholic, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jamestown will take on the at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sailors at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Lakeview is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
