Credo has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Technology Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Credo will be strutting in after a victory while Technology will be coming in after a loss.
Credo scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-38 win over Roseland Collegiate Prep. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but Credo was the better team in the second half.
Credo can attribute much of their success to Reilly Fay, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fay has scored all season. Another player making a difference was June Guthrie, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Technology, who are still winless after their 14th contest. They were beaten by Roseland University Prep 44-9 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Technology has suffered since December 8, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Technology saw an underclassman step up: Samiksha Shrestha scored eight points. That was a full 88.9% of Technology's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Credo's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Technology, they bumped their record down to 0-14 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Credo strolled past Technology when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 39-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Credo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
