The Bullard Panthers will face off against the Troup Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bullard is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 13 games.
Bullard proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Madisonville, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since August 30th.
In the three sets Bullard was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-14, 24-26, 25-14, 15-4.

Bullard's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Julia Garrick, who had 24 assists and 12 digs, and Hudsen Walker, who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most assists Garrick has posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, Troup came up short against West Rusk on Friday and fell 3-1. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Troup started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.
Bullard's victory bumped their record up to 30-10. As for Troup, their loss dropped their record down to 25-14.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Bullard has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.6 aces per game. However, it's not like Troup struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Bullard's way against Troup when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as Bullard made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
