Dakota Ridge is 1-6 against Wheat Ridge since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Farmers  at 4:00  p.m. Dakota Ridge has given up an average of 10  runs per game this season, but Monday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Dakota Ridge came up short against  Golden on Saturday, falling  21-9.

  Madison Drake made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and  went 4-for-5 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. She has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  hits the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Lexi Bortscheller, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Wheat Ridge came out on top against Conifer  on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Farmers put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp  10-2 victory. Considering the Farmers have won seven contests by more than five  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Haley Cross made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   three  hits (and not a single walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted  over her last ten  games. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Evelyn Detwiler, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases, one  triple,  and one  run. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in September.  Hailey Piel was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
 The  win made it two in a row for Wheat Ridge and  bumps their season record up to 8-12. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Dakota Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
 Everything went Dakota Ridge's way against Wheat Ridge when the teams last played  back in September, as Dakota Ridge made off with  a  9-2 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Farmers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
