The Sweet Springs Greyhounds are on the road again on Friday and plays the Concordia Fighting Orioles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-48, which was the final score in Sweet Springs' tilt against the Wildcats on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Concordia pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Wellington-Napoleon 65-60. Concordia has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Sweet Springs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Concordia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
Sweet Springs might still be hurting after the 62-36 defeat they got from the Fighting Orioles when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Sweet Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
