Even though the General McLane Lancers scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the North East Grape Pickers still came out on top. North East took their contest against General McLane 66-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North East.
Alexandra Cozzens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Forsythe, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The win got North East back to even at 2-2. As for General McLane, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
North East will be playing at home against Erie at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for General McLane, they will head out on the road to face off against Maplewood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
