 Grace Carpenter was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Scarlett Hum was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run.
Chaparral's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 15-12. As for Cherokee Trail, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record  this season.
As of now, neither Chaparral nor Cherokee Trail have any future games scheduled.
