The Saint Joseph Jesters lost against the Bishop Amat Lancers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Saint Joseph suffered a tough 61-36 defeat at the hands of the Lancers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Saint Joseph in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Saint Joseph saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Martinez scored 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Saint Joseph has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Bishop Amat, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-10.
Saint Joseph won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Stars at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Mary Star of the Sea has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. Bishop Amat does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
