Winters has gone a perfect 10-0 against Willows recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. Winters is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
Winters is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of River City.
Everett Beason was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Woods, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, while Willows put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Pierce. The Honkers put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 10-0 win. The Honkers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th (when they won 17-0).
The team relied heavily on Clint Girard, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Quezada, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Willows always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Willows is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Winters, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
Winters got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Willows by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Honkers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
