After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thomas Stone, the Westlake Wolverines were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Huntingtown with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Westlake also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Westlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Relf led the charge by scoring 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Relf has scored all season. Linwood Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Huntingtown's loss came despite strong showings from Brady Swann and Nate Harris. Swann scored ten points along with two steals, while Harris scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Washington, who scored seven points.
Westlake's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Huntingtown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Westlake will head out on the road to take on Patuxent at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Patuxent is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Huntingtown, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Thomas Stone at 6:30 p.m. Thomas Stone is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
