Sadly, Great Commission are still looking for their first win of the season after four matchups. They took a serious blow against Calvary Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 43-14. Great Commission was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
Calvary Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Macayla Mills out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Mills hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Anderson, who scored seven points along with eight steals and seven assists.
Great Commission's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Great Commission does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bedford County CIA at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy is coming into the matchup with four straight victories at home, meaning Bedford County CIA will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
