This season hasn't been kind to the Anzar Hawks, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harbor. The matchup was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but Anzar was outscored by Harbor in the second.
Harbor's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julianne Sanguinetti, who scored nine points. Keili Carriere was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Anzar bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Harbor, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-2.
Anzar will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Summit Shasta at 2:00 p.m. on January 20, 2024. As for Harbor, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against KIPP San Jose Collegiate at 6:30 p.m.
