After each having a week off, the Cambridge Bears and the Ola Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cambridge took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over Blessed Trinity. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since September 6, 2024.

Connor Langford produced another solid performance throwing for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 110 yards. Those 110 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Cambridge's leading receiver Craig Dandridge was Langford's top target yet again, picking up 121 receiving yards and two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cambridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ola had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 14-3 victory over the Warhawks. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly 11 points.
Cambridge better keep an eye on Timothy Clark. He was instrumental in Ola's win, picking up 99 receiving yards and one score. Clark showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 61 yards.
Ola's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Michael Kearney was especially locked on to McDonough's QB and sacked him twice. Aiden Hogg was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Ola's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Cambridge, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 8-2.
The upcoming game will be a clash of competing strengths. Cambridge has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 268 passing yards per game. Ola, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 175.5 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on the 14th? There's only one way to find out.
