Leading West Seneca West to victory were Bella Ceccarelli and Ava Gunnells. Ceccarelli scored 16 points, while Gunnells scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ecker, who scored no points along with six rebounds and five assists.
West Seneca West's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Sacred Heart Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Seneca West will take on Sweet Home at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sweet Home will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sacred Heart Academy in New York (St. Mary's is ranked 23rd, while Sacred Heart Academy is ranked 166th).
