The Bastrop Rams put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Union Parish for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-25 win at home. Bastrop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Jameiah Peoples continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Alana Myles was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Bastrop's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-0. As for Union Parish, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Bastrop will head out on the road to square off against Richwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Bastrop is ranked 23rd). As for Union Parish, Union Parish and North Webster will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Webster is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
