Scituate came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the North Smithfield Northmen a 7-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Scituate's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7.
