Bria McGahan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Francis, scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. McGahan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Lexi London was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals.
Elk Grove's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-20. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.9 points per game. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will square off against the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Sheldon is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for St. Francis, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Whitney presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Troubadours in California (the Wildcats are ranked 42nd, while the Troubadours are ranked 301st).
