The Del Mar Dons waltzed into their contest Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Gilroy by a score of 50-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Del Mar also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Del Mar got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Arseama Kibrom out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Kibrom's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Zoey Hinkle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Del Mar now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Gilroy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.
Del Mar will take on Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Hill is ranked 831st, while Del Mar is ranked 826th). As for Gilroy, they will head out on the road to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Live Oak's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Gilroy's offense will have their work cut out for Gilroy.
