The CORE Butte Lynx's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 40-22 to Oroville.
Lali Gonzalez and Alyssa Walton certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Gonzalez scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds, while Walton scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Serenity Miller was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 12 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lili Kelemen, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Oroville, they pushed their record up to 1-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. CORE Butte will take on Hayfork at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oroville, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Paradise at 6:30 p.m. on December 11th. Paradise is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
