It was a good run, but Troy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 71-47 to the Bishop Kearney Kings.

When it comes to explaining why Troy lost, don't look at Kailyn Sterling. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gloria Andrews, who posted nine points.

Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bishop Kearney, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Troy will take on North Rockland in a tournament on Sunday. As for Bishop Kearney, they will head out to square off against Williamsville South at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Bishop Kearney has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
