Academy for Academic Excellence gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle 11-1. Kameron Walker made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Nathan Rudd was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Liam McCarty, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
