Meadowbrook Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Montgomery on the road to the tune of 49-17. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Meadowbrook Christian has managed all season.
Leading Meadowbrook Christian to victory were Madalyn Fasnacht and Kailey Devlin. Fasnacht scored 15 points along with nine steals, while Devlin scored 22 points along with five steals. The game was Devlin's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Hannah Millett was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Montgomery struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Meadowbrook Christian racked up 16 assists.
Meadowbrook Christian's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Montgomery, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook Christian will take on Muncy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Muncy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Northumberland Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
