Make it seven blowout wins for the Burroughs Burros this season. They claimed a resounding 68-29 win over Hesperia at home. The victory was nothing new for Burroughs as they're now sitting on four straight.
Hesperia's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Berlynn Miramontes and Natalie Villegas. Miramontes scored eight points, while Villegas scored no points.
Burroughs' win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Hesperia, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burroughs will take on Oak Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hesperia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Apple Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
