The Foothill Cougars entered their tilt with the University Prep Panthers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Foothill took their matchup at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 64-33 win over University Prep. Considering Foothill has won five games by more than 26 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Lexi Peters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalli Smith, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals.
Foothill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.67 points. As for University Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Foothill will take on Clovis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for University Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Las Plumas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Plumas will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 560th, while University Prep is ranked 120th).
