The Munster Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Leo Lions at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Munster 3.3, Leo 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
While Munster's victory against Columbia City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Eagles 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Columbia City's batters probably weren't too happy with Ally Compton, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up three walks). Compton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Munster's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee O'Connell, who went 2-for-4 with one run.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Leo and Fort Wayne Northrop, and Leo kept the tradition alive. The Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bruins 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now won six in a row.
Luci Schott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.
On the hitting side, Sara Hoeppner was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
Leo pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Munster, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Munster came out on top in a nail-biter against Leo in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
