Fossil Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .614. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poudre only posted an OBP of .462.
Fossil Ridge's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13-1. As for Poudre, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Looking ahead, Fossil Ridge will head out to square off against Greeley West at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The SaberCats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season. Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
