The Buford Yellowjackets will be home for the holidays to greet the Cheraw Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Tuesday, Buford took a serious blow against Chesterfield, falling 47-20. Buford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Cheraw had to settle for a 50-48 defeat against York Prep on Tuesday.
This is the second loss in a row for Buford and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Cheraw, they bumped their record down to 4-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Buford came up short against Cheraw in their previous meeting back in January, falling 44-38. Can Buford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
