Carlmont has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  face off against the Half Moon Bay Cougars at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.  On Tuesday, Carlmont made easy work of Terra Nova  and carried off  an  8-2 victory.
  Luke Tofigh was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Grant Goetz, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought  match, but Half Moon Bay had to settle for  an  8-7 defeat against Sequoia on Monday. Half Moon Bay has struggled against Sequoia recently, as their  matchup on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 Half Moon Bay also got a good showing from  Andreas Hipkins, who   struck out seven batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   one  hit.
 At the plate, Half Moon Bay got a  massive  performance out of  Riley Jackson, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with a  home run, four  RBI,  and a  stolen base.  Aidan Vazquez was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run.
 Carlmont's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Half Moon Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
 Carlmont skirted past Half Moon Bay  7-6 in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlmont since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
