After a string of seven wins, Cypress Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Mansfield Summit Jaguars by a score of 46-44. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Jaguars are ranked 40th).

Cypress Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Mansfield Summit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.
