The Bolles Bulldogs will face off against the Parkview Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bolles will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Saturday, Bolles earned an 8-4 victory over Maclay.
Bolles let Gabe Gonzalez and Denzel Del Valle Delgado run wild. Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Del Valle Delgado went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Gonzalez has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jackson Geist, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
North Gwinnett typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Parkview proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs.
Porter Berryman tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Mason Davis was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Washington, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Parkview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Bolles, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bolles has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Parkview struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bolles couldn't quite get it done against Parkview in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
