The Mill Creek Hawks were the 69-58 winner over the Central Gwinnett Black Knights when they last played one another on January 5th, but their luck changed this time around. Mill Creek fell 58-48 to Central Gwinnett on Tuesday. Mill Creek has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Central Gwinnett's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timothy Smith, who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Central Gwinnett's points. Another player making a difference was Donte Golden, who scored 13 points.
Mill Creek has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Central Gwinnett, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.
Mill Creek will head out on the road to challenge Buford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Central Gwinnett will take on Collins Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
