Juniata has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Greenwood Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Juniata suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 69-39 loss at the hands of Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy. While losing is never fun, Juniata can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is ranked 108th).
Meanwhile, Greenwood put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Halifax 48-19 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Greenwood has posted since December 5, 2023.
It was another big night for Bekah Brinser, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sophia Jezewski, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Juniata's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Juniata strolled past Greenwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 49-33. Does Juniata have another victory up their sleeve, or will Greenwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
