The Lincoln Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Sylmar Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Lincoln had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Valley Center on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Jaguars 10-4. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Diego Pislor was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Pislor was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs. He has become a key player for Lincoln: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise.
