Red Cloud Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Connor Rust
Connor Rust was instrumental in extending Red Cloud's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Rust as he rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also picked up 58 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Red Cloud's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Rust will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Dorchester on Friday.

Gage Ely's big game helped extend Red Cloud's winning streak to six on Friday. Ely turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 157 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes.
For the season, Ely has averaged 25.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to 14.

Red Cloud picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Hunter Englehart. Nobody could stop Englehart as he rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending a pass.
For the year, Englehart has averaged 17.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

Jaxon Tenbensel Turns in Season-Best Effort
Silver Lake came up short on Friday despite Jaxon Tenbensel delivering his best game to date. Tenbensel rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
