On Saturday, East Bakersfield was able to grind out a solid win over the Bobcats, taking the game 42-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for East Bakersfield.
Boron's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailey Davis, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yazmin Page, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
East Bakersfield's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Boron, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Bakersfield will take on the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boron, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
