In what's become a running theme this season, the Forest Hills Rangers gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 64-39 margin over Penn Cambria. Given Forest Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Penn Cambria is ranked 168th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forest Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Mcleary, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcleary has scored all season. Addison Schirato was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Penn Cambria saw an underclassman step up: Makenna Mccoy scored seven points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Andersen, who scored nine points.
Forest Hills pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.5 points. As for Penn Cambria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Forest Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Latrobe at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Greater Latrobe will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Penn Cambria, they will head out on the road to square off against Richland at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Richland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
