The Crenshaw Cougars will square off against the Crossroads Roadrunners at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
Crenshaw has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Marcos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Crenshaw came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while San Marcos is ranked 386th).
Crossroads posted their biggest win since November 14, 2023 on Saturday. They blew past Saint Joseph 62-32 on the road. The victory was just what Crossroads needed coming off of a 66-36 loss in their prior match.
Crenshaw's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Crossroads, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Crenshaw ended up a good deal behind Crossroads when the teams last played back in November of 2015, losing 45-31. Can Crenshaw avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
