If the Quartz Hill Royals were riding high off their 44-18 takedown of the Palmdale Falcons last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Quartz Hill took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lancaster on Thursday. Quartz Hill has struggled against Lancaster recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Royals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mandy Frozina, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Frozina has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashantee Palmer, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Quartz Hill's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Lancaster, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Quartz Hill will head out on the road to take on The Palmdale Aerospace Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Palmdale Aerospace Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Lancaster, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Knight at 5:00 p.m.
