After flying high against the Callisburg Wildcats last Friday, the S & S Consolidated Rams came back down to earth. S & S Consolidated was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 33-32 to Paradise. S & S Consolidated has struggled against Paradise recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Gazey Yates continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Paradise, scoring 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Nichols, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
S & S Consolidated's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-12. As for Paradise, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. S & S Consolidated will take on Pilot Point at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Pilot Point has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Paradise, they will head out on the road to square off against Callisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Callisburg will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1197th, while Paradise is ranked 266th).
