As for Rocklin, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-13-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games.
On Rocklin's side, they gave Kobe Nusz the start and clearly made the right call: he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Nusz is becoming a predictor of the Thunder's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 9-12-1 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Cobb, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
