Mediapolis had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt West Burlington on Thursday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Mediapolis is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for West Burlington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-19 record this season.

Mediapolis has already played their next match, an 8-2 loss against Assumption on the 12th. West Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
