First Presbyterian Day lost a heartbreaker the last time they played John Milledge Academy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Vikings blew past the Trojans 11-1 on Thursday. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Emma Morgan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Arnold was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

The win was the fourth in a row for First Presbyterian Day, bringing their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for John Milledge Academy, they dropped their record down to 9-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Presbyterian Day will head out to challenge Tattnall Square Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 1.7, the Trojans 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for John Milledge Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Crawford County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
