The Oley Valley Lynx entered their tilt with the Pottsgrove Falcons with three consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with four. Oley Valley blew past Pottsgrove 48-23. That's another feather in the cap for Oley Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Pottsgrove still got an impressive performance from Mikayla Eckman, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eckman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Carroll, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Oley Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pottsgrove, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oley Valley will square off against Brandywine Heights Area at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. As for Pottsgrove, they will head out on the road to face off against Upper Moreland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Upper Moreland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pottsgrove in Pennsylvania (Upper Moreland is ranked 132nd, while Pottsgrove is ranked 386th).
